F-nøglen concert: Johan Bridger – masterpieces for percussion!

Description

F-nøglen concert: Johan Bridger – masterpieces for percussion! This Saturday you can experience a concert in a class of its own. It is the newly appointed professor of percussion Johan Bridger from Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium who will entertain with soft marimba tones and virtuoso rhythms on percussion. Johan Bridger comes from Sweden and trained at Musikhögskolan i Malmö and took his master's degree at Northwestern University in Chicago. Johan Bridger has won a long list of international prizes and performed on major stages around the world. With his virtuoso playing he masters an extensive repertoire from J.S. Bach to new music. At today's concert we will, among other things, listen to a piece by the living Swedish composer Tobias Broström. The piece Arena is dedicated to Johan Bridger and is a virtuoso percussion firework display composed for 26 different metal and wooden instruments and a dozen drums. Towards the end of the piece, 5 different rhythms are going at the same time in hands and feet!
