Vocal Concert

Description

The Aarhus women's choir Sora consists of 50 skilled young singers. With such a large and stable choir there is scope for great volume and precision in performing movements and works of great variety. The choir works with unconventional concert experiences, in which choreography and movement are an important part of the choir's expression. Sora is Latin for sister and thus a strong signal of precisely the fellowship and togetherness found in the choir, and expressed through the music. For the concert the choir sings a good mix of its standard repertoire, which consists of both classical pieces for women's choir, newer contemporary compositions and folk-music pieces from Denmark, the Nordic countries and other countries.
