Taastrup Musikforening is a well-established society that was founded in 1972 to create a forum for classical music in Høje-Taastrup Municipality by holding concerts with professional musicians from Denmark and abroad. Throughout the years, emphasis has been placed on the seasons featuring many different types of instruments, ensembles and soloists. It has also always been important to make room for young upcoming stars, so that they could try their strength in front of an engaged and responsive audience.
The society is supported by grants from Kulturelt Samråd in Høje-Taastrup Municipality and the Danish Arts Foundation.
In 2016 the society received the prize and statuette of Kulturelt Samråd and was named "Society of the Year" in the municipality.
Taastrup Musikforening is the society for all of you who love music. We hold concerts and enrich cultural life in Høje-Taastrup municipality. Come and experience lovely classical music with us!
