Kammermusik ved Fjorden
1. aug. - 9. aug.
Viborg
With concert series in Viborg Musiksal and in churches around the Limfjord, we present chamber music with some of the country's best musicians in collaboration with international stars.
From 1 to 9 August the festival holds summer concerts, where at the closing concert on 9 August, among others, you can experience the award-winning Danish string quartet, the Nightingale String Quartet.
In addition, this year's festival is visited by a number of the country's respected young musicians: the cellist Toke Møldrup, the pianist Emil Gryesten, solo violist Michael Grolid and the concertmaster of Det Kgl Kapel, Emma Steele. At the concert on 4 August the audience will once again be able to experience the outstanding pianist Andrei Korobeinikov, who is regarded as one of the foremost pianists of his generation.
The repertoire of the festival's summer concerts will consist of a varied chamber music repertoire in different combinations, with works by, among others, C. Nielsen, Rued Langgaard, Felix Mendelsohn, J. Brahms and cello suites by J.S. Bach.
The festival, which takes place in some of Denmark's most beautiful countryside, has in just a few years achieved great support and recognition. We are also proud to inspire a broad audience, who have not necessarily listened to classical music before, by maintaining a programme of the highest artistic standard, while the audience can feel that the artists are passionate about what they do.
Enjoy the festival!
Aleksander Kølbel, violinist and artistic director
