Løvehave Koncerter is a concert series of classical concerts every Sunday at 16 in August and Christmas concerts in December.
The concerts take place in Løvehavehus, a beautiful former forester's house located on the edge of Alsted skov and close to Sorø.
The house has a large living room from which there is access through double doors to an old, beautiful enclosed garden surrounded by a beech hedge. In the living room stands a Schimmel concert grand piano, and from here internationally acclaimed musicians from Denmark and abroad will play and sing for the audience, who can sit both indoors and outdoors in the summer garden. At Christmas the concerts take place only indoors in the large living room.
This year some of Denmark's and Europe's most skilled musicians are on the programme, and the concerts offer some of the best music in the classical world.
The concert series was founded and is arranged by us, the pianists Ida Nystad and Magnus Wenzel Most, who also live in Løvehavehus day to day. We are both classical pianists, trained at the Academy of Music in Krakow.
