Where it all began Musical enthusiasts with a shared vision The idea for Randers Kirkemusikfestival arose among a group of local organists and musical enthusiasts, who saw an opportunity to bring more music into the town's beautiful church spaces. The main purpose of creating a church music festival has been to be able to unfold a broad range of musical experiences, ranging from classical choir and organ to modern interpretations of traditional hymns, which highlight both the traditional and the innovative in church music. Church music is a living tradition that continues to develop while preserving its connection to its history and heritage. It spans a broad spectrum of styles and expressions and has a unique ability to unite faith, art and community. The originators of the idea behind the church music festival Britta Nedergaard Hansen - Organist - Enghøj Kirke Christian Præstholm - Organist - Sct. Mortens Kirke Solveig Brandt Særkjær Skovgård - Organist - Sct. Peders Kirke
