Schackenborg Musikfest
8. aug. - 10. aug.
Tønder
Schackenborg Musikfest is a world-class chamber music festival that takes place in the borderland between Denmark and Germany, in the borderland between Denmark and Germany, on the border between Denmark and Germany.
Praised by Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung for its high energy, artistic quality and its risk-taking Viking artist ambitions, which bring the festival's "risk-taking" artistic ambitions to the festival, together the finest artists of Denmark, Germany and Europe.
The festival, launched in 2021, has already attracted thousands of audience members, who have experienced 30 prominent guests, including Christian Tetzlaff, Nicolas Altstaedt, Alexander Lonquich, Mojca Erdmann, Anneleen Lenaerts, Lea Desandre, Thomas Dunford and the Vertavo Quartet, among others.
The 2025 edition will feature 5 concerts, 25 composers and 12 artists, including the fantastic Van Kuijk Quartet, who visit us from Paris for two concerts of classical and Romantic masterpieces. The inspiring Korean-Australian violinist Suyeon Kang of the Belcea Quartet will also grace our stages. The Swedish-Norwegian mezzo-soprano Christina Herresthal, recipient of the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize, will form a duo with the outstanding Danish accordionist Bjarke Mogensen.
Our artistic directors, the members of the Danish clarinet trio, will take part together with other guests in all five concerts.
