Opera mellem Himmel og Hav

Our aim is to collaborate with municipalities, harbour festivals, theatre societies and associations of every kind that would like a visit from the opera ship. The stage can be a shipyard, a warehouse, a fish auction hall, a church near the harbour or whatever else is possible.
We have great experience of practising our art in primitive as well as spectacular conditions. Local roots are very important to us, and we wish to collaborate with volunteers in Danish associational life and others who are willing to pitch in, so that Opera mellem Himmel og Hav can contribute to the summer's cultural festivities in their area.
The opera singers and the musicians are the crew on board. In addition to the concert on land, we also hope to contribute to the atmosphere in the harbour, so that locals and sailors can meet us where we are.
We are able to perform either a chamber opera or a concert adapted to the possible setting. In addition, in many cases we will be able to run an opera workshop for children and young people, of somewhat shorter duration, so that they can be inspired by our art form.
