Hvide Sande Masterclass
10. sep. - 20. sep.
Hvide Sande
”It is a great pleasure for me to be allowed to welcome you all to Hvide Sande Masterclass 2026. You, the hopeful, young, hand-picked musician, who has struggled to learn all the many difficult works. You, dear professor, who bring your many years of experience from countless concerts and hours with your instrument. And of course you, who come and experience the music in full bloom in a completely different concert hall. I hope you will have a life-giving musical experience that you can come to (re)experience with anticipation and look back on with joy.”
Sigrid Kongshøj-Munch has been project leader of Hvide Sande Masterclass since 2020 and artistic director since 2023. She is trained as a violist and violinist, music communicator and music educator at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium, where she completed her master's degree in 2015. She has played numerous solo, chamber music and orchestral concerts and premieres, and has made recordings, TV and theatre productions. Sigrid plays in Trio con Spirito. She has played in DR Symfoniorkester, Det Kongelige Kapel and Copenhagen Phil, and has held a contract position as violist in Aalborg Symfoniorkester and Ensemble Storstrøm, and has many years of experience as a teacher. In 2023 and 2024 she was a judge at the UKE international chamber music competition in Kyiv, Ukraine. Sigrid has been orchestra manager at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium, and is now employed as administrative manager at Kammermusik på Lundsgaard and as production manager at Copenhagen Phil.
