Hvide Sande Masterclass
22. sep. - 26. sep.
Hvide Sande
Hvide Sande Masterclass is an international masterclass for young classical pianists, violinists, violists, cellists and chamber musicians – at and above conservatoire level.
At Hvide Sande Masterclass 2020 there will be an opportunity to listen to highly qualified classical music at 8 public concerts. The music is played by the masterclass professors and this year's outstanding participants. The participants of Hvide Sande Masterclass 2020 will be selected by the masterclass professors from among the very greatest young classical talents in Denmark and abroad.
The focus will be on chamber music ensemble playing, and the professors play along in the ensembles, both at rehearsals and concerts. Children and young people are invited to attend rehearsals and concerts free of charge, and there will be an educational introduction for them and all other listeners.
Over 14 years Hvide Sande Masterclass has made its name as a powerhouse for spreading knowledge of classical music to a new audience in West Jutland. Here the experience of the beautiful, rugged nature is combined in the best way with experiences of classical music at a high national and international level.
Here young classical talents from the Danish music conservatoires, in meeting other young musicians from all over the world, have been inspired to continue their studies through personal friendships, chamber music ensemble playing and the many joint concerts, made possible through stays and studies with outstanding professors at Hvide Sande Masterclass.
Audiences from all over the country, and tourists, have flocked year after year to attend the many concerts and the open teaching at Hvide Sande Masterclass. The intention is to continue and strengthen this work by holding Hvide Sande Masterclass – in 2020 too.
