This year's programme marks a fascinating combination of musical rethinking that casts new light on the old classics. We bring young and established musicians together - from the world of jazz and from the classical scene - with names such as the recorder player Michala Petri and the pianist Amalie Malling. The very young jazz singer Anna Stæhr performs with her trio in lively interplay with the established, innovative Norwegian trio POING, which has for several years caused a stir with surprising programme combinations. Nordic fairy tales and European sagas enter into a fruitful exchange. Expressive songs by the 20th-century composer Alban Berg stand side by side with Edvard Grieg's classic tone poetry Haugtussa, performed by Danish stars such as the international Brit-Tone Müllertz and the pianist Kristoffer Hyldig. Everything is woven together into a new musical world, where Schubert, Bach and Vivaldi also find a place - side by side with this year's festival composer, the poet Ole Buck. We extend a warm welcome to Late Summer Festival 2025 – in the midst of Hvide Sande's exceptional and magnificent nature! Anette & Helge Slaatto artistic directors
