Johannes Larsen Museet
Møllebakken 14, Kerteminde
Johannes Larsen Museet is an art museum in Kerteminde. The museum opened in 1986, and is housed in the large home and studio of the married artists Alhed and Johannes Larsen, which they built in 1901 on Møllebakken in Kerteminde. The museum is part of Østfyns Museer. With its 16 guest beds, the house was built as a large and hospitable artists' home, where a long series of the artists of the day often met, not least the large circle of Kerteminde artists later grouped together under the name the Funen Painters. The influence of this cultural circle later became of great importance for the development of Danish cultural life.
