Hello fellow lovers of music! My name is Joachim Becerra Thomsen and I am principal flute of the Royal Danish Orchestra at the Royal Danish Theatre. I have had the pleasure of pointing out a few concerts that I think would be a good time!
I play a lot of opera and ballet music, but not so often baroque and chamber music which is love, so these concerts are some that I really want to attend myself 😊
I hope you enjoy!
🕊 April 7th 2020. Daniel Hope, Simon Crawford Philips & DSQ. Konservatoriets Koncertsal.
This concert should be a a great evening for anyone interested in chamber music. DSQ is such a musically inspiring ensemble as is Daniel Hope. I played with him once and his humanity made a great impact on me.
🤩 March 28th 2022. DUO BRANTELID-HADLAND. Mogens Dahl Koncertsal.
Debussy’s and Bridge’s sonatas for cello and piano are incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. Peder Grams sonata I have never heard myself and I daresay a lot of people haven’t either 😉
Kodály’s sonata for solo cello is an interesting chance to hear chamber music for only one player. All these pieces were written in 1915 - a time of great strife in the world. I am sure these pieces are as relevant today as they were then.
💃 June 10th 2023. Cecilia Bartoli og Les Musiciens du Prince-Monaco. DR Koncerthuset
Although this concert is a year and a half away, I think it will be worth considering buying your ticket already 😅
I think Cecilia Bartoli is so wonderfully crazy and amazing and I love the way she captures an atmosphere, a moment and engages with the audience in her story telling. Here you can hear her singing baroque arias with her own orchestra Les Musiciens du Prince-Monaco!
