Description

A relaxed and inclusive opera concert on Scene 2 Welcome to a short, cosy and accessible opera experience - adapted for everyone who wants to feel the joy of music in a safe and relaxed space. This is a “Relæxt concert”: a shush-free zone where you can be exactly as you are. Close and safe Bring along someone who might enjoy a warm and accessible musical moment during the daytime. Experience beautiful music from three opera singers, presented by a host who makes opera close and understandable for us - perfect for both beginners and experienced opera lovers. Opera that moves you Opera is not difficult, opera is about emotions in music - something everyone can recognise themselves in. At Opera Hour for Everyone you are welcome to be yourself and do what you want in your encounter with the music. What does the Relæxt concept mean? The opera hour is adapted so that everyone has the chance to take part in art and culture on their own terms: The lighting in the room will be dimmed, but never completely off. We adjust the sound level. It is perfectly fine to talk out loud, laugh, cry, tic and shout. Hosts are present to assist if anyone needs to move in and out of the hall. No “shushing” - just room to be yourself. This makes things easier for everyone who finds ordinary concerts or cultural experiences challenging. More about Relæxt The Relæxt model is based on research and experience. In collaboration with researchers at UiT, Nord University and Volda University College, more than 50 in-depth interviews have been carried out with children, young people and families with disabilities, user organisations and cultural institutions. The insights have shown which barriers exist - and how they can be broken down. The model was developed by Hålogaland Teater, Arktisk Filharmoni, Nordlysfestivalen, Tromsø internasjonale filmfestival and TIFF Junior. With Operastund for alle, Den Norske Opera & Ballett also takes part in this work.
