Barokk onsdag at Oslo ladegård - Chiaroscuro

Description

This evening we hear music by composers contemporary with the baroque painter Caravaggio. The evening's musicians find a kindred aesthetic in the music of Girolamo Frescobaldi, Tarquino Merula and Barbara Strozzi; such as dramatic contrasts, unexpected harmonies and strong affects. These create a musical play between light and dark, which are precisely affects that to the very highest degree characterise Caravaggio's painting. Performers: Eva B. Landro - mezzo-soprano, Inga Mathilde Gorset - baroque violin, Lars Henrik Johansen - harpsichord Welcome! Buy tickets here, or pay with VIPPS at the door. Children up to 18 years get in free.
