Description

Gala concert with Alma Kraggerud Bærum's own symphony orchestra turns 75 and invites you to a musical celebration together with Bærum's own young rising star of the violin, Alma Kraggerud. Since its start in 1951, Bærum Symfoniorkester has spread the joy of music with a varied repertoire. This evening will be a sparkling tribute to the joy of classical music, with Leonard Bernstein's overture to Candide, Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, «From the New World», and one of the best-known and most popular works in the violin repertoire, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto. The conductor is Eldar Nilsen. Alma Kraggerud won Virtuos on NRK in 2022, only 15 years old, and represented Norway at Eurovision Young Musicians the same year. She comes from Jar in Bærum. Eldar Nilsen has conducted Bærum Symfoniorkester a number of times, including at the New Year's concerts in recent years. He has conducted most Norwegian orchestras and led Gardemusikken for many years. Sales start 1 September! Programme: Bernstein / Overture to Candide Dvořák / Symphony No. 9, «From the New World» Mendelssohn / Violin Concerto
