Ringsakeroperaen
RingsakerOperaen – Our goal is a love of opera for auditorium and stage!
Ringsakeroperaen had its first production in 1979. Until 1998 we were organised as an association. In 1997 we were included in the state budget, and the organisation was turned into a foundation. The founders of RingsakerOperaen are Ringsaker Operakor, RingsakerOperaen Produksjon, RingsakerOperaens Venner and Hedmarken Symfoniorkester.
Every year in November RingsakerOperaen stages a fully staged production with professional soloists and artistic directors. But it is the volunteers who are our backbone. Around 150 volunteers take part to bring such a production safely home, providing splendid costumes, lighting, set design, make-up and props. Both the foyer and the entrance area are decorated by our own decorators. And Ringsaker Operakor is central on stage.
