Opus 13 won the string quartet competition at Wigmore Hall.

The Norwegian/Swedish string quartet came out on top at the prestigious Wigmore Hall String Quartet Competition at the weekend, picking up no fewer than 5 prizes!
Besides the first prize, they also won the prize for best 1800s interpretation, the Haydn Prize, the Mozart Prize, the Esterházy Foundation prize and the Leeds International Concert Series prize!
Opus 13 consists of the Norwegian violinists Sonoko Miriam Welde and Edvard Erdal, with the Swedes Albin Uusijärvi and Daniel Thorell on viola and cello respectively, and has already made its mark as one of the very foremost chamber music ensembles in the Nordic region.
