Det Vestnorske Teateret (formerly Hordaland Teater) is a regional theatre and was established in 1988. The theatre is based in Logen in central Bergen, right next to the blue stone.
Det Vestnorske Teateret has Nynorsk as its administrative language and performs in Nynorsk and dialect. The theatre places a strong emphasis on new drama and has an identity rooted in Western Norway.
