Majorstuen kirke in Kirkeveien was built as a small church and consecrated on 26 March 1926 and has 400 seats. It is grey-rendered on the outside and white-painted on the inside, and the style has similarities with neoclassical, neo-Romanesque and functionalism. The nave is rectangular and the tower (completed 1933) is placed asymmetrically, but there is no adjoining parish hall as at other small churches, since the intention was that Bogstadveien kapell would be used for that. In 1955, however, a parish room in the basement under the church was consecrated. At the foot of the tower the so-called Capella Johannea is fitted out with approx. 70 seats, intended to be kept open every weekday. The chapel was decorated in 1932 by Per Vigeland with frescoes illustrating the Revelation of John. It got a new altar in 2016.
