Jönköping Sinfonietta
The orchestra was founded in 1988 and ranges over a wide area, both artistically and geographically. Kulturhuset Spira in Jönköping is the regular venue, but the orchestra also plays in concert venues, churches and schools in Jönköping County, in other parts of Sweden and in Europe.
A concert season with Jönköpings Sinfonietta contains everything from classical, symphonic works to musicals, collaborations with pop stars, opera festivals as well as intimate lunchtime concerts with the great masters and inviting weekday concerts.
Methodical work has created a modern and flexible symphony orchestra that impresses with its sound and precision. Chief conductor since 2017 is Christian von Gehren.
