Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker
Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker is Östergötland's proud musical resource with roots from the 1500s. As one of the country's leading professional wind orchestras, the orchestra has through the generations preserved and developed its heritage, so as to be today an important player that reaches everyone. Children, young people, families and older people continually meet Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker thanks to the orchestra's broad popular base and because it constantly works to find new paths.
The musicians of Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker also have in their employment contracts that they divide their working time between one of the three permanent ensembles, Östgöta Brasskvintett, Crusellkvintetten and Östgötabandet.
Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker is driven by finding new challenges, in collaborations with different conductors, soloists and ensembles, all in order to create exciting points of contact between people and cultures. Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker wants Crusellhallen – its home ground – to become a meeting place for everyone where music becomes the common ground.
Christoffer Nobin has been Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker's chief conductor since January 2017 and, from July 2017, artistic director.
