Beskrivelse

Songs from the Amazon Rainforest Konserthus, Store Sal, October 10th, 1800-1930 Join acclaimed Brazilian saxophonist Leo Gandelman and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra in a musical journey through the Brazilian Amazon. Featuring works by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Radamés Gnattali, Tom Jobim and Gandelman’s own, the concert blends music with imagery from the rainforest, Indigenous poetry by Ailton Krenak, and new arrangements for saxophone and orchestra. The performance reflects Brazil’s cultural and natural heritage, offering a tribute to both tradition and the environment.
