The Ssensielt festival will be held in the Marble Hall at Sentralen in Oslo from September 27-29, celebrating Ssens Trio's 10th anniversary with 5 concerts over 3 days. Featuring some of Norway's finest musicians, the program will include a mix of classical masterpieces by composers like Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Brahms, alongside Norwegian greats such as Grieg and Nordheim.
The festival will also highlight contemporary composers, including Anna Berg and Kyrre Sassebo Haaland, as well as the renowned Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho. A special evening concert on Saturday will focus on folk music, featuring reworkings of pieces by Knut Dale, with interpretations by Edvard Grieg and Kyrre Sassebo Haaland, along with a performance by the Engegård Quartet, exploring their own folk music traditions.
The organizers look forward to welcoming audiences to Ssensielt2024 for a series of inspiring Autumn concerts.
