As an ensemble, they are protégés of Tim Frederiksen, the prior teacher and mentor of the Danish String Quartet and the Nightingale String Quartet. In 2019 they reached the semifinals at Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition. Earlier same year NOVO Quartet won Køge Chamber Music Competition and the Scholarship Competition at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
