Poulenc’s Organ Concerto with DUEN and Alexander Bak-Hansen

Description

Concert with Det Danske Ungdomsensemble under the direction of Morten Ryelund Experience Francis Poulenc’s famous Organ Concerto from 1938 for string orchestra, solo organ and timpani. It is beautiful and gripping music! Det danske Ungdomsensemble (DUEN) consists of approx. 25 young, talented string players. At more than a hundred concerts at home and abroad, the ensemble has actively spread and communicated classical music, especially to young people. With the conductor and artistic director Morten Ryelund as an energetic driving force, DUEN is known for delighting both audiences and critics at classical concerts of a high artistic standard. The hallmark of these young string players is an infectious joy of playing and a sky-high technical level. Most of DUEN’s members are students at the country’s classical music conservatoires. The organ soloist at this concert is the church’s organist, Alexander Bak-Hansen. Free admission.
