Guitar Concert with Asbjørn Høgholm in Løgstør

Description

The lovely foyer of Løgstør Kirke provides the setting on Sunday 25 October at 15.00 for a concert in which the guitarist Asbjørn Høgholm plays more recent music for the classical guitar. All the music was composed in the last quarter of the 1900s. More recent guitar music is characterised partly by great stylistic diversity, partly by the composers' great desire to explore the guitar's many tonal possibilities. Geographically we also travel widely. The programme includes music by, among others, the Hungarian László Borsody, the Swede Owe Walter (who turns 80 in October), the Dutchman Pieter van der Staak, the Cuban Leo Brouwer and the Spaniard Emilio Pujol. We will also hear music composed on Danish soil by Hans Gefors, Timme Ørvad and Asbjørn Høgholm himself. The concert falls into two short halves. During the interval Løgstør Kirke offers a little refreshment. Admission is free.
