Themed Concert: RENEW YOUR WONDER

Description

Five experienced musicians from the classical and rhythmic music worlds invite you to an atmospheric afternoon where music and poetry make room for wonder, reflection and singing together. The musicians have set out to explore the existential search of modern man, and the concert revolves around life and death and the relationship between nature and industrial society. Texts by, among others, Johannes V. Jensen, Thøger Larsen, Piet Hein, Ole Sarvig and Benny Andersen put the big questions into words. For Johannes V. Jensen it is above all the encounter with nature that awakens wonder, faith and doubt. Classical works by, among others, Per Nørgård, Arvo Pärt and Jehan Alain meet jazz, folk, pop and rock. Mads Houe has arranged the music for the quintet's special line-up, where classical and rhythmic singing join forces with electric guitar, bass and church organ. The five musicians create a present and versatile concert with room both to listen, let your thoughts wander and sing along. Admission: 50 kr. Young people under 25: 25 kr. The concert is supported by ”Klassisk i Viborg”
