Portrait Concert: Bjørkøe plays Nørgård

Description

The pianist Christina Bjørkøe has recorded a wide range of works for solo piano by Per Nørgård, who died in 2025. Many of the works have not been recorded before. They will be released on a double album in January 2027 on Dacapo Records, and Ny Musik i Birkerød presents a portrait concert featuring the lesser-known Per Nørgård. Christina Bjørkøe opens with the young Nørgård's journeyman piece from 1951 for his teacher Vagn Holmboe and closes with the mature composer's swinging minimalism. Maj på vej - tre vejrbilleder, commissioned for the association's 25th anniversary in 2007, is on the programme. Programme: Per Nørgård / Maj på vej - tre vejrbilleder
