Sannas Danmark

Description

What is Danish music - and what does it feel like to find a musical home in a new country? In the concert "Sannas Danmark", Ensemble MidtVest's violist Sanna Ripatti invites the audience into a personal musical universe. Sanna was born in Finland, but has lived and worked in Denmark for many years - and in this concert she has gathered Danish works that, each in their own way, have taken on special meaning for her. The concert becomes a meeting between music and identity, where we experience Denmark through Sanna's ears - with works that hold intimacy, beauty of sound and personal stories. During Spil Dansk Ugen, several upper secondary schools are lucky enough to receive a visit from Sanna and other musicians from EMV with the concert "Sannas Danmark." Here the pupils meet the music up close in their own everyday lives. In addition, audiences can experience "Sannas Danmark" at several public concerts. We look forward to sharing the music with both the folk high school community and other curious guests.
