Description

Vejle Symfoniorkester celebrates its 60th anniversary with the award-winning pianist Gustav Piekut as soloist in Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16, a work full of Nordic lyricism, virtuosity and great emotional contrasts. The programme also includes some of the North's most iconic orchestral works: the overture to Elverhøj by Friedrich Kuhlau, Finlandia by Jean Sibelius and Niels W. Gade's Symphony No. 1, Op. 5, "På Sjølunds fagre sletter".
