Kodály & Vasks

Description

The vocal ensemble KaMus performs rarely heard East European choral music under the direction of Johan Sigvard Jensen, with David Bendix Nielsen at the organ. The programme features Zoltán Kodály's dramatic ”Missa Brevis” from 1945 and Pēteris Vasks' meditative ”The Fruit of Silence”. There will be an introductory talk about the works and the composers on Wednesday 4 November at 11 by Johan Sigvard Jensen. The vocal ensemble KaMus consists of young professional singers from Kastelskirken and Sankt Markus Kirke. The concert is supported by Knud Højgaards Fond, William Demant Fonden and Frederiksberg Kommune.
