Friday 13 November at 16.00 - 40th anniversary concert On All Saints' Sunday, 1 November, Søren Rasmussen, organist of Sønder Tranders parish, can celebrate 40 years as a conservatoire-trained organist in Den Danske Folkekirke. At this anniversary concert there will be an opportunity to hear excerpts from the many organ works that have held particular significance during Søren's professional life. You will thus have the chance to hear two striking Baroque works by Nicolaus Bruhns and Johan Sebastian Bach respectively, from his postgraduate examination at Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium in 1985. The programme also includes French organ music by Charles Marie Widor, Maurice Duruflé and Jean Langlais, as Søren, through the French branch of his family, has always had a great fondness especially for more recent French and Romantic organ music. Finally, the programme includes two works by living Danish composers, Christian Præstholm and Bo Grønbech. After the anniversary concert there will be an opportunity to enjoy a glass of bubbly and greet the 40-year jubilarian.
