Sønder Tranders Kirke

Sønder Tranders Bygade 51, Gistrup

Go to website
Sønder Tranders kirke consists of a Romanesque chancel and nave, with three late Gothic additions: a tower to the west, a sacristy on the north side of the chancel and a porch that – unusually – is placed on the north side of the tower. The Romanesque granite ashlar building rests on a sloping chamfered plinth, and of the original details one can see the rectangular, walled-up north door, while the likewise walled-up south door was altered in the Gothic period – presumably before the tower was built.
