Dvorak: Stabat Mater

Description

Many composers have written a Stabat Mater, and it has been said of Dvorak's work that the music does not reflect in every place what is actually in the text at that particular point - but in return his work is marked by a deep and heartfelt religiosity, and, like many of Dvorak's works, it is full of beautiful melodies. The soloists are Frederikke Kampmann, soprano; Sophie Haagen, alto; Mathias Hedegaard, tenor, and Teit Kanstrup, bass. The musical direction is in the hands of Torben H.S. Svendsen
