Description

DJM's chamber orchestra - also called RAMAStrings - is a pure string orchestra with violin, viola, cello and double bass, and there is a large and beautiful repertoire for precisely this line-up. The concert in Langenæskirken is part of a project called "Chamber Music for Tomorrow", in which older masterpieces are mixed with new and unfamiliar repertoire - often works by women composers. So too here, where Mozart and Dvorak are mixed with Caroline Shaw and Libby Croad. The work is done in a side-by-side format, where teachers and students rehearse and give concerts together. In the programme here, the conservatoire's students are led by Nicolas Sublet, violin, and Henrik Brendstrup, cello. Free admission.
