Rot Society [exhibition]

Description

Rot Society’s sculptures, some edible and some not, are left to change. Sugar crystallises and melts, fibres soften, liquids evaporate or ferment, and minerals take things apart. The graphic scores created by Dominican artist manuel arturo abreu remain on the walls as paintings. What the audience sees on any given day is one stage in an ongoing process, not a finished object.
