Christmas concert in Birkerød kirke - Organ with big screen

Description

Jonas Hellesøe (b. 1991) is one of the most active concert organists in Denmark, and we look forward to welcoming him to Birkerød Kirke. Jonas’ mission is to bring the organ closer to the audience, and that is why this Christmas concert is something very special. He sets up a large screen in the church so that you can follow what he is doing with both hands and feet. Audience members can bring their own requests and put them in the pool for improvisations, where they are woven into works that Jonas creates on the spot without preparation. At the concert you can hear music by J.S. Bach, Max Reger and Daquin, among others. About the artist: Jonas has played concerts all over the world, including in La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and in the concert hall in Ankara. In Denmark he has given a wealth of solo concerts all over the country, including in Københavns Domkirke and Musikkens Hus in Aalborg. He is a permanent member of Aarhus Symfoniorkester as assistant organist and pianist. He has also taken part in a large number of children's concerts and theatre productions and has assisted as organist and harpsichordist in Randers Kammerorkester, BarokAros and many other ensembles. Jonas trained at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium with professor Ulrik Spang-Hanssen and professor Kristian Krogsøe, and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin with professor Leo van Doeselaar. Next year Jonas will, among other things, play concerts in St Paul's Cathedral in London and in the Pantheon in Rome. Price: Free admission
