Afternoon concert with Juniormandskoret from Skt. Annæ Gymnasium

Description

Sankt Annæ Juniormandskor is a choir of approx. 20 young male singers from Sankt Annæ Gymnasium, Københavns Sangskole. Most of them have attended the school since year 3, when they passed the entrance test and were admitted with a view to singing in Københavns Drengekor at Københavns Domkirke, Vor Frue kirke (Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir). They have received singing and ear-training lessons, had short stints and taken part in church services, opera productions, CD recordings and, not least, concerts and tours at home and abroad. The Juniormandskor's singers are in years 8 and 9 and are 14-16 years old. They are experienced singers with a new instrument, tenor or bass. The choir is re-formed every year with singers who stay with the choir for a year or two. Many of them will later become members of the boys' choir's men's choir, the gymnasium choir or the gymnasium's chamber choir. Some of them may one day choose to pursue a professional career as singers. The choir is led by the singing teacher and conductor Karen-Maria Baun and the singing teacher, conductor and arranger Kim Glies Nandfred. Price: Free admission
