“Nordic Christmas” with the Choir SAGA
Koret SAGA
Description
On 6 December the choir SAGA invites you to a Christmas concert entitled ‘Nordic Christmas’. In the Nordic countries we are good at finding light when it is dark. In the darkest days of winter, this point of light is of course Christmas, whose warmth and joy can make even the shortest days long and bright. After the long autumn, when darkness has quietly crept in and inwardness and reflection have lain heavy over everyday life, Christmas is where we can finally break out in joy and song. The concert will embrace both aspects of the season, and bring out Christmas and the contrasts of winter, and hopefully show that it is all part of what makes the festival so special. With both slow, reflective works and energetic, joyful songs, the hope is that we can show Christmas and the many facets of Christmas music. CV SAGA is an ambitious choir consisting mainly of former singers from Sankt Annæ Gymnasium’s Rhythmic Choir. The choir is conducted by Sofia Eide, and aims to embrace a broad musical range, and to do so with strong voices and sound. The choir typically gives 1-2 concerts a season, with repertoire that suits both the time and the choir’s wishes, whether that is reinterpretations of old soul classics or a completely new arrangement of the week’s P3 hit, everything is thoroughly worked through and performed with precision and love of the music. Admission - 115,- (excl. fee) for regular tickets - 100,- (excl. fee) for students / children 13-17 years - Free admission for members of Rosenvængets korskole / children under 13 years Price: 115 kr. / 100 kr. for students / Free for children under 13 years
