Lucia Procession and Christmas Concert with Frederikskirkens børnekor
Frederikskirkens spirekor og børnekor, kor
Description
Join in when the spire and children's choirs hold a Christmas concert and walk the Lucia procession in the church. The concert begins in a darkened church with the choirs' joint Lucia procession. Afterwards the children perform songs from their Christmas repertoire. Lucia Day (13 December) is originally a feast for the Catholic saint Santa Lucia, whose name means 'light'. In Denmark the tradition, with its light and song, has become part of the Advent season.
