Trio Reinecke

Description

Bernardo Bertamini, clarinet - Elena Lorenzoni, viola and Samuele Masera, piano. Three young students at the conservatoire in Trento in northern Italy found each other in 2023 and formed the trio. Not much music has been written for this somewhat unusual line-up. This means we are presented with some good composers who have otherwise fallen into oblivion. This applies, among others, to the Swede John Jacobsson and, as the great surprise, the Danish composer Johan Amberg. The trio think his music is so good that it is included on their debut CD "Nordic Sunrise". They describe his music as original, with both a Nordic tone and great romantic feeling. The first movement of his ”Fantasy Pieces” is a tribute to Robert Schumann. Schumann's fairy-tale narratives "Märchenerzählungen" is one of the best-known works for this trio line-up, so it is of course also on the programme. Programme: Paul Juon, John Jacobsson, Robert Schumann, Johan Amberg, Giovanni Sollima.
