Mozart: Hunt Quartet, K. 458 Allegro vivace assai - Menuetto - Moderato - Adagio - Allegro assai The Bellevue String Quartet: Alison Luthmers, violin Hannah Tibell, violin Rastko Roknic, viola Judith-Maria Blomsterberg, cello About the quartet: Bellevue String Quartet combines nature-inspired string quartets by Mozart and Haydn with haiku poems by Birk Andersson and poems collected from the audience. The rich and often humorous imagery of poetry opens an engaging way into the sound world of the classical string quartet. As Scandinavia's only string quartet playing on period instruments, Bellevue String Quartet engages audiences with its unique, conceptual programmes. Gems from the string quartet repertoire are combined with newly commissioned works, music from the consort tradition of the 1600s, and arrangements of opera arias and Scandinavian folk music. This creates a musical experience one rarely encounters at a traditional string quartet concert. To reach a new and diverse audience, the quartet creates an intimate concert experience both on the traditional concert stage and in smaller, unconventional venues. The quartet is based in Malmö in Sweden and performs regularly at various venues in the Øresund region, including Klubb Krinolin and Andy’s Corner in Malmö, Magle Konserthus in Lund, Valfisken in Simrishamn and Early Monday in Copenhagen, as well as at the Trigonale Festival in Austria.
