Circus!

Description

Music that is impossible not to love: experience music with spark, spirit and not least humour. Four works by composers who refuse to be boring. Poulenc and Martinu play with the music and with our expectations of it, Dohnányi embraces beauty and the cinematic expression, and Eisler brings the magic of circus life into the concert hall when he transforms the music of the arena into unaffected and fun music. A shot of much-needed musical energy in the middle of January's grey everyday. Programme: Poulenc / Deux marches et un intermède Dohnányi / Sextet Eisler / Septet No. 2 (Circus) Martinu / La revue de cuisine
