The Best Piano Quintets
Crusell Trio med venner
Description
This innovative programme with the best music for piano and four wind players will be an explosion of colours and contrasting sonorities. Beethoven's much-loved quintet has inspired other composers, and Herzogenberg's undeservedly overlooked high-Romantic quintet is here allowed to be the crown of our programme. Kalevi Aho's Quintet from 2013 is rarely played and a true gem for our line-up. For the concert we welcome the guest musicians Emmanuel Laville and Asuka Nakamura from Trio Nastela, and in this way repeat the success of the collaboration on the concert Crusell 250! from 2025. L. van Beethoven Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 16 Kalevi Aho Quintet (2013) Interval Herzogenberg Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 43
