Description
Among the winter months, February is the brightest, giving sure signs that warmth and light are on their way back. In the old days people celebrated Candlemas, which means ‘light mass’, at the beginning of February – but our own time, and our own city, also has its very own festival of light. In February the Copenhagen Light Festival lights up streets, buildings and waterways with strong colours, beautiful patterns and radiant light sculptures. As part of the festival, DR Vokalensemblet once again lights up the beautiful space of Marmorkirken with music that explores sunlight, moonlight, starlight, the northern lights and the heavenly light of eternity. The concerts of recent years have been completely sold out, so it is important to secure a ticket in time! Together with the clear sound of the choir's voices, the composer and musician Christoffer Møller creates atmospheric electronic soundscapes, and spectacular lighting design adds new dimensions to Marmorkirken's large, stylish church space.
