Vision String Quartet

Description

There are many up-and-coming new world-class string quartets at the moment. But the question is whether Vision String Quartet does not take the prize? Many of us were completely blown away by their magnificent Aalborg premiere in October 2024! You would have to look long and hard for such musical precision, energy and originality. And the young gentlemen from Germany also have a lovely relaxed and natural way of communicating with their audience. Two important things have happened since last time: firstly, a new album, ”In the Fields”, was released in 2026. Here the group mixes single movements from string quartets by, among others, Ravel and Bartók with exciting collaborations with non-classical musicians, including the Swedish jazz pianist Joel Lyssarides. Secondly, there has been a change among the musicians in that the 1st violin position has now been taken over by the Danish violinist Adam Koch. One must hope that the fact that Vision is now 25% Danish leads to us getting even more opportunities to experience them in Denmark in the future! They otherwise have a very busy calendar; for example, there is not really room for a summer holiday, as they are invited to music festivals in England, Schleswig-Holstein, Cyprus, Warsaw among others. One thing that especially sets Vision apart from other well-known string quartets is that they often bring their own material; there are simply composers in the ensemble, and it is naturally usually very exciting to hear unique, original repertoire that no other quartets (yet) play. On the excellent website visionstringquartet.com, which can be recommended, you will find a whole lot of information, pictures and links to the music. We are incredibly pleased to once again be able to present these young world stars to our audience. Performers: Adam Koch – violin Daniel Stoll – violin Leonard Disselhorst – cello Sander Stuart – viola Programme: To be announced later. A collaboration between Aalborg Kammermusikforening and Musikkens Hus. Tickets are bought via Musikkens Hus.
