Aalborg Kammermusikforening was founded on 1 May 1996 and held its first concert at Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum on 26 January 1997.
The society offers musical experiences of the highest quality. We invite ensembles and soloists from the international music scene and the best Danish musicians and ensembles, as well as promising young Danish musicians on the threshold of an international career.
The society has a close and fruitful collaboration with Musikkens Hus, where the vast majority of our concerts take place. This collaboration allows us to invite some of the really big names from the international music scene whom we would otherwise not be able to engage.
The society is supported by Aalborg Kommune, the Danish Arts Council and a long list of private foundations, including Det Obelske Familiefond, Aage og Johanne Louis-Hansen Fonden, Oticon Fonden, Augustinus Fonden and Solistforeningen af 1921.
