Music in the Church Space
Description
On this church tour, Ensemble MidtVest invites you into the special calm and resonance of the church space - and brings the music out to all of our supporting municipalities. Here the music is allowed to unfold in interplay with the space and create a moment for reflection and contemplation. The programme moves from the elegant lines of the Baroque in Bach and Graun to more recent sounds by, among others, Reena Esmail and Gunther Schuller. The concerts are an invitation to community - to gather around the music, be present and let your thoughts flow freely in a space where silence and presence go hand in hand. Programme: CARL HEINRICH GRAUN (1704-1759) Trio Sonata in E major for oboe d'amore, horn and bassoon REENA ESMAIL (b. 1983) Side by Side for oboe and viola JOHANNES MATTHIAS SPERGER (1750-1812) Cassation No. 3 for viola, horn and bassoon GUNTHER SCHULLER (1925-2015) Trio for oboe, horn and viola JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH (1685-1750) Organ Sonata No. 5, BWV 529 for oboe, viola and bassoon
