Young Talents from the Piano School Gradus in Aarhus

Description

At Aalborg Kammermusikforening we usually set aside one of our concerts each year for a young Danish talent. But at this year's season finale a whole group will get the chance, when the piano school Gradus visits from Aarhus. Since 2001, Gradus has with great success taught talented children and young people who are passionate about classical piano playing. Numerous concerts, top prizes at national and international piano competitions and a growing number of applicants bear witness to its success. A very large proportion of the school's pupils go on to study at renowned music conservatoires. Since 2018 Gradus has been generously supported by Augustinus Fonden and has thereby been able to expand its activities. Among other things, a fruitful collaboration has been established with Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium on joint concerts and masterclasses at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium in Aarhus. The school offers its pupils solo tuition twice a week at a reduced price. In addition, Augustinus Fonden supports ear training and theory teaching, and enables pupils to take part in competitions and courses. To study at Gradus it is not a condition that you wish to study at the conservatoire. Everyone who wants to immerse themselves in classical piano music, and who possesses a certain talent, is a candidate for Gradus. The school offers private tuition for young classical pianists between 8 and 20 years of age. And this is an education that pays off! Several of Gradus' former students are now among the country's most distinctive pianists, with names such as Gustav Piekut, Emil Gryesten and Kristian Riisager. Now the people of Aalborg get the chance to discover the next generation of Danish piano stars. So do not miss the opportunity to meet these young, enthusiastic musicians in the fine acoustics of Sankt Markus Kirken! Musicians: Caroline Foldager Jason Lee Reks Jakobsen Emil Nabe- Nielsen Emil Dalgaard Sophus Elmark Programme: We will surprise you. Admission Standard ticket kr. 200,-.
